About Dr. Cottle
Dr. Cottle is originally from North Carolina. She obtained a B.S. in Math and Psychology from Campbell University before attending the Master’s Psychology program at Western Carolina University. She earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
Following graduate school, Dr. Cottle returned to North Carolina, where she has enjoyed working with legal professionals throughout the state. She worked in numerous state and federal prisons and psychiatric hospitals before establishing a private practice in 2005. She has served as an expert in district, superior, and federal courts and has professional experience working in juvenile delinquency, criminal, and civil matters. She has been an invited speaker on matters related to mental health law for legal and mental health professionals.
Dr. Cottle is married and has four sons. In her spare time, she enjoys running, photography, calligraphy, art and gardening.
